The garden of vineyards
Vallagarina is an unique valley, strongly tied to its roots and characterised by a passion for the territory, the environment and by a cultural vivacity. Geographically, it stretches in the southern part of Trentino, along the river Adige flowing towards Verona, from the fortified Castel Beseno to Castello di Sabbionara di Avio. The historical garden of vineyards lies in this terrain among villages and medieval castles. The small town of Rovereto, institutional, cultural and artistic centre, can be defined as the “cultural capital of Trentino”. Rovereto is famous worldwide thanks to the massive Campana della Pace - Peace Bell - and the MART museum of modern and contemporary art, which hosts important temporary and permanent art exhibitions. Here, and around in the nearby villages, the locals breathe tradition, a tradition innate to people who have chosen agriculture as their primary activity for earning a living. Nowhere else is there such an ancient and glorious tradition of cooperation among producer entities, which S.A.V. knew how to efficiently organize and to which Vivallis is heir to.
